 First
Communion is a very special milestone in our
journey of Faith, and Crossways would like
to highlight that event through unique
weekend retreat that is bound to be a yearly
event for many congregations. We invite one
or both parents to attend this overnight
retreat with their child who is in first
communion instruction.
You
will enjoy conversations which are aimed at
helping the parent to pass on the Faith
through activities and crafts. Family groups
will make bread that can be used at their
first communion (if that is Ok with your
Pastor!) We will even have some time
for parents to talk to other parents about
Christian perspectives on parenting, while
camp staff leads the youth in games
elsewhere.
There will also be camp style
campfire, worship, and a whole lot of fun.
This is going to be one of
those most treasured times a parent and
child can experience together!

- Check-in is at 7 PM Friday and the
retreat ends on Saturday at 3 PM.
- Fee is based on one parent, one child.
You are invited to bring a second parent,
or your second child, at $30 per person.
Lodging will be in our warm retreat
centers with 3-6 people per room.
Please bring your own bedding and
toiletries.
