THE
WAYPOST CENTER
ON MISSION LAKE
The Waypost Center was built in
1979 and updated in 2003 to
accommodate the dining and lodging
needs of the camp. Its exterior decor
is finished in stone and cedar. The
large main floor dining room overlooks
Mission Lake. For years, our guests
have especially enjoyed the
breathtaking sunsets over the lake to
the West. The Center has a fireside
area on one end of the facility for
small group conversation. A full
commercial kitchen is available for
food preparation, and some
bathrooms/showers are located on this
level as well. In the walkout lower
floor you will find three sleeping
rooms capable of serving 20 people.
There are new restrooms and showers are on this
level for guests. In 2003, two new
lodging rooms were added on the main
floor with 10 beds for a total lodging
capacity at Waypost Center of 30
people. There are two large lounges with gas
fireplaces for breakaway groups, and a
game room with Ping-Pong and
Foosball is located on the lower level. For
winter activities, cross country
skiing is available. Bedding is not
provided at Waypost. Larger groups may
use a heated overflow cabin in the
fall and spring, which will serve 36
additional persons.
