Coins
for Camp!
The
camps of Crossways impact our world with
the love of Christ in ways beyond
comprehension. The magic of Camp is
often heard in the stillness of the
night, in songs sung around a campfire
and in the laughter of a child at play.
When we add great Christian role models
to the mix (campers call them
counselors, we call them summer
missionaries) the relationships that are
built last forever!
Crossways Camping Ministries has set a
goal of $30,000.00 for this fall through
our “Coins for Camp” project. As a part
of our Fun Daze event, money raised
through Coins for Camp are eligible for
matching funds from Thrivent Financial
for Lutherans! All proceeds from this
project will be used to enhance the
ministry and outreach of Crossways!
HOW DO I HELP?

Fill your “Coins for Camp” canister
with coins. Quarters are best, but
any coin will do! A film canister or
empty pill bottle works great!

After you’ve filled your canister,
give a canister to a friend and ask
them to fill one. Tell them why you
are asking for their support.

Bring your filled canisters and your
family to Pine Lake Camp for
Crossways Fall Fun Daze on September
22 and participate in the
festivities!
You can also encourage your congregation
members to collect and bring the change
or a check for a total of all canisters
collected to Crossways Fall Fun Daze on
September 22nd at Pine Lake Camp, or to
our office by October 16th.

What is Fall Fun Daze?
Fall Fun Daze is an event that can
make a great impact on the opportunities available at Crossways
Camping Ministries and will help keep our camping costs affordable
for all who wish to attend.
Fall Fun Daze is held at Pine Lake
Camp which is 9 miles south of Waupaca on Cty K. (W5631 N Pine Lake
Rd, Waupaca, WI 54981 Camp Phone: 715-258-3813)
Our goal is to raise at least
$40,000 from all the activities held at Fall Fun Daze including the
5K Trail Run/Walk, the Quilt Auction, Craft and Bake Sale, Coins for
Camp, etc. This year we will receive matching support from Thrivent
Financial for Lutherans on the first $30,000 raised. We need you to
help us reach this goal. We would like to double the number of
participants in our 2007 Trail Walk/Run event! Invite your family
and friends and join us at Pine Lake Camp on September 22.
5K Trail Run/Walk!
The 2nd Annual
Crossways 5K Trail Run/Walk is a unique route through the wooded and
grassy trails surrounding Pine Lake Camp near Waupaca, WI. Prizes
awarded for top pledge collectors and top runners/ walkers! Print
off a registration form and pledge form and start collecting your
pledges today! Our Crossways 5K Trail Run/Walk is the kick-off for
the Sixth Annual Fall Fun Daze, a day filled with family fun, food,
and quilt auction.
COME FOR THE RUN, STAY FOR THE FUN!
Register NOW to
run or walk with Crossways by using the registration form.
Registration forms are due by September 5th to guarantee a t-shirt
and water bottle on the day of the event. A minimum of $25 in
pledges enters an individual in the event and includes t-shirt and
water bottle. Pledges should be turned in on the day of the event.
On Saturday
September 22, 2007, registration will begin at 8:45am. The run/walk
will begin at 9:30am. The entire family is welcome to participate in
this FUN Trail Run/Walk. To register as a Family or Team, please
put your team name where indicated on the registration form. Please
also note that running strollers (not basic strollers) work best to
bring young children on the rough terrain.
“Spirit” Runners
are individuals who are unable to attend the event, but wish to
support Crossways Camping Ministries through a monetary gift. When
registering as a “Spirit” runner you will be acknowledged for your
donation but will not receive a t-shirt or water bottle.
