Crossways Camping Ministries Mission Statement
Bringing people together in Christ
so that lives are changed and communities enhanced.

Imago Dei Village is a camp located on beautiful Long Lake half-way between Clintonville and Shawano, WI. The camp rests on a hill at the southwest end of the lake. A number of facilities are available for winter conferences and retreats, including the new Johnson Lodge, four beautiful Chalets, the Woodlands Center and Long Lake Gathering in the Village Center.

The site includes softball and playing fields, a volleyball court, ski and hiking trails, and a lovely waterfront area. All lodging is new or newer, as of 2007. This includes two new seasonal Chateau duplexes and the new Johnson Lodge, located at the west end of camp. At the east end is the year round complex known as the Woodlands Center & Chalets. A total of 144 winter beds (or 90 adults in lower beds) are available throughout the camp in six separate facilities designed to accommodate a wide range of group sizes. During the warmer fall and spring months, the chateau duplexes are available, providing additional housing for 36.

Imago Dei Village was first established in 1949 by the men's group of the former American Lutheran Church. For over 55 years, the camp has been a second home to hundreds of children, youth, and families during the summer season. In the mid sixties, construction of a retreat center enabled hundreds more to enjoy year round activities at the camp. In recent years, major improvements in facility and meeting space have greatly increased the ability of the camp to host winter retreats and conferences.

Located within one mile of the site is a 120-acre wilderness area owned by the camp. This area provides space for activities such as hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing, and creation learning opportunities. Camp staff are more than ready to lead activities in this beautiful natural area.

Food service is available to all groups and mandatory for large groups utilizing multiple facilities. A domestic kitchen area is located in Long Lake Gathering for small groups who wish to provide their own food.
