The first Crossways Harvest GALA was held on November 3rd at Riverview Gardens in Appleton. 185 donors, alumni, volunteers, current and former staff and sponsors gathered to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Crossways Lutheran Camping Ministries. This fund- and friend-raiser netted $28,432 (our goal was $15,000)!
Guests enjoyed the silent auction, appetizers, musical entertainment, a three-course meal, camp songs and a program that included a historical slide show, awards and messages from staff and volunteers. A highlight of the evening was the keynote message by Mike Loos who inspired guests as he described the impact of Crossways on his faith, marriage, family and stewardship to support the ministry of Crossways. Special awards were given to Rev. Robert Herder, Servant Leader of the Year, Nancy Sacks, Volunteer of the Year and Mike and Jenna Loss, Donors of the Year. A HUGE thank you goes out to the Gala Planning Committee, who worked hard all year long to plan this event. Thank you to the committee and the volunteers to put our dreams into action and executed a wonderful event! We can't wait for next year - mark your calendars for November 3, 2018 (to be held at Liberty Hall in Kimberly, WI). Here are a few snapshots from the evening - thank you to Ben Robarge, our event photographer!
