Waypost on Mission Lake is located near Highway 153 between Bevent and Elderon, WI, about 30 minutes southeast of Wausau. Its rich history can be traced back to 1942 when the Evangelical Lutheran Church purchased the old "Crooked Lake Dance Hall and Resort" to create a Lutheran camp. The land is rich in history and abundant in natural beauty and resources, with over a mile and a half of natural shoreline.
Facilities & Amenities at Waypost:
Waypost provides high-quality meeting and lodging facilities in a rustic setting. The camp owns over 1 1/2 miles of lakeshore and has long stretches of hiking trails available to guests. The camp facility includes a number of newly decorated cabins on a hill overlooking the lake and also boasts a large dining hall known as the Waypost Center. The dining hall is capable of serving up to 80 for day meetings and can hold 30 overnight guests in an area that serves as a retreat center in the fall, winter, and spring.
